This position requires a well organized and cooperative individual who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the needs of clients, building tenants, and co-workers as well as have a proven track record of being reliable and responsible.



  • Prepare for and conduct roll call. Communicate information necessary for successful shift operations.
  • Observe and evaluate subordinate activities on a day-to-day basis, in order to rate performance for later evaluations.
  • Issue discipline to subordinates for misconduct, failure in operations and attendance infractions.
  • Respond to emergency situations. Investigate and document all occurrences in incident reports.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to ensure the efficiency of operations.
  • Support the needs of clients, diverse guests and building tenants.
  • Train, mentor, supervise and develop subordinates.
  • Be first contact for emergency agencies such as, but not limited to, police department or fire department.
  • Notify management of all major incidents occurring during the shift.
  • Fill open vacancies for special details and department needs.
  • Conducting employee inspections and appraisals.
  • Handle customer questions and complaints, communicates with customers, handles service problems politely and efficiently, always available for customers, follows procedure to solve customer problems, understands company products and services, maintains pleasant and professional image.
  • Complete daily paperwork.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.



  • Must be at least 20 years of age.

  • Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts

  • Must have or be willing to obtain a 20 hour training certificate.

  • Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen)

  • Demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.

  • Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.

  • Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security and law enforcement incidents.

  • Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and standing.

  • Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience or education that evidences skills to perform job functions.
  • 3 years prior security experience or 2 year supervisory experience
  • Experience with fire/life/safety programs preferred.
  • Experience working and managing a unionized workforce preferred.
  • Prior military and law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record and exceptional performance record.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have an aggressive work philosophy and strong leadership and teambuilding skills.
